The New Jersey Supreme Court has reprimanded Newark, N.J.’s Sills Cummis Epstein & Gross — but no individual partners — for allowing an associate not admitted in New Jersey to do transactional work there for seven years.

Sills Cummis admitted in a consent order made public on Monday that it violated a rule that says firms have to make sure their lawyers comply with ethics requirements, Rule of Professional Conduct 5.1(a).
