Ailing ground zero workers in New York went to state court Tuesday to demand that the company overseeing a $1 billion 9/11 insurance fund pays for their health care. Attorneys for the workers, who have filed a class action lawsuit alleging injuries from toxic dust, argue that federal officials meant for WTC Captive Insurance Co.'s money to be used to compensate sick workers. New York City officials have long said that the money must first be used to litigate claims before it goes to workers.
