Susan S. DeSanti, former senior counsel to the Antitrust Modernization Committee of the United States, joins the Washington office of Sonnenschein Nath & Rosenthal as a partner in the antitrust group. DeSanti was the primary author of the report issued by the Antitrust Modernization Commission, a bipartisan commission created by Congress to make recommendations concerning antitrust laws. She has also worked for the Federal Trade Commission, where she oversaw projects resulting in legislative changes to generic drug entry and worked to encourage competition in the healthcare industry. “Susan is a highly regarded and well-known antitrust lawyer who will add significant strength to the firm,” said Amy L. Bess, managing partner of the Washington office. Sonnenschein Nath & Rosenthal has offices in 13 U.S. cities and in Brussels. The firm, which specializes in corporate and insurance law, employs more than 700 attorneys.
