Flight attendants from Northwest Airlines can be blocked from striking while the airline reorganizes in bankruptcy, a federal appeals court ruled Thursday. The 2nd Circuit concluded that "Northwest's flight attendants have proven intransigent in the face of Northwest's manifest need to reorganize" and had therefore violated �2 of the Railway Labor Act of 1926. The decision affirms a preliminary injunction against striking granted by Southern District of New York Judge Victor Marrero.
