Boston Pepper Hamilton picked up five intellectual property lawyers, including two partners, for its Boston office from Boston’s Mintz, Levin, Cohn, Ferris, Glovsky and Popeo. Eight attorneys now work at Pepper Hamilton’s Boston office, which has space for 11 lawyers. The firm opened in November with one recruit from Foley Hoag in Boston. Patent litigators William D. Belanger and Michael T. Renaud joined as partners of the Philadelphia-based Pepper. “Both have deep experience with patent litigation and extremely strong reputations,” said Pepper’s executive partner Robert E. Heideck. “We’re very excited that they and their team of associates have chosen to join Pepper,” Heideck said. Belanger said that he was looking forward to expanding the group’s practice “both in the city and nationally.” Three intellectual property associates also made the jump from Mintz: Ibrahim Hallaj, Aaron J. Levangie and Alison L. McCarthy.
