Due to an editing error, an Oct. 3 story about a mediation dispute before the California Supreme Court incorrectly indicated who Howard, Rice, Nemerovski, Canady, Falk & Rabkin partner Gilbert Serota was speaking about at one point. The story should have said: "The mediation statute," Serota argued, "is being used [by Karl Bakhtiari] as nothing but a convenient vehicle for reneging on a settlement agreement." We regret the error.
