Charleston School of Law has appointed John L.S. Simpkins as diversity director. Simpkins, who will continue to teach constitutional law at the South Carolina school, will help conduct outreach programs to enhance minority enrollment. He is a Duke Law School graduate with an undergraduate degree from Harvard University. Charleston School of Law is a for-profit law school that is seeking accreditation from the American Bar Association. The University of Georgia School of Law has named a new associate dean for faculty development and has added four new professors. Daniel Bodansky, who joined the Georgia law faculty in 2002, will assume the associate deanship. He previously served as a faculty member at University of Washington School of Law. David Brennen, who previously taught at Mercer University Walter F. George School of Law, has joined Georgia as a tax law professor. Julian Cook, most recently an associate professor at Michigan State University College of Law, will teach criminal law and procedure. Fazal Khan, a former litigation associate at Jenner & Block, will serve as a professor of health law. Sonja West will teach courses in media law and constitutional law.
