The American Bar Association has granted Thomas M. Cooley Law School’s request to offer full, three-year law programs at its two satellite campuses in downtown Grand Rapids and Rochester, giving students the opportunity to earn a law degree at any of its three Michigan locations. The school was previously only allowed to offer 15 first-year credits at the satellite campuses. The Rochester location, which has an affiliation with Oakland University, opened in 2002 and the Grand Rapids location, which has an affiliation with Western Michigan University, opened in 2003. Cooley sued the ABA in 2004 for blocking the accreditation of the new campuses. Law School Movers is compiled and written by Leigh Jones. Please send material to her at The National Law Journal, 105 Madison Ave., New York, N.Y. 10016, or [email protected].
