Tafuri, who has worked on refugee and human rights issues in Turkey for the United Nations, will be responsible for implementing and designing rule-of-law and anti-corruption programs, and he will provide technical expertise to Iraqi officials. “I wanted to work in international law and human rights and serve my country,” he says. . . . Thelen Reid & Priest beefed up its labor practice recently by bringing on Stephen Yohay as a partner. Yohay spent the past six years at Arent Fox, representing clients such as Cincinnati Gas & Electric Co. and utility company Ameren Corp. in OSHA cases. Yohay’s move comes soon after Arent Fox increased its own labor bench, bringing on ERISA litigator Nancy Heermans. Heermans rejoined the firm after spending 16 years at the Pension Benefit Guaranty Corp. Most recently, she was associate chief counsel for litigation.
