Florida-based Bryant Miller Olive is hoping to make inroads in Washington. It recently brought on board 16-year Hunton & Williams veteran Patti Grant-Wilkinson to open a D.C. outpost and become the office’s managing partner. A public finance lawyer, Grant-Wilkinson expects to expand the office by adding real estate and public finance partners. So far, she has taken associate Kierston Woods from Webster, Fredrickson & Brackshaw, who joins the firm June 30. . . . Holland & Knight added intellectual property partner Carla Calcagno last week. Calcagno joined the firm after spending the past three years at IP boutique Rothwell, Figg, Ernst & Manbeck. Calcagno’s hire was part of a trifecta of IP lawyers moving to Holland & Knight, including Jeffrey Seul and Brian Colandreo, who are heading to the firm’s Boston office. . . . Meanwhile, Claire Reade, an international trade litigator at Arnold & Porter, is headed to the Office of the U.S. Trade Representative to serve as the chief counsel for China trade enforcement, a job the USTR created as part of its top-to-bottom review of U.S.-China trade relations. Reade, who has been with the firm for more than 20 years, will start with the USTR later this summer and will also co-chair the office’s new China Enforcement Task Force.
