New partners Kirkland & Ellis (Chicago): Asheesh Goel joins the litigation practice as partner. He was most recently a branch chief at the Securities and Exchange Commission’s division of enforcement. New counsel Alston & Bird (Atlanta): Betty Weinberg Ellerin comes on board as senior counsel to the New York office. Ellerin previously served as judge and subsequently as presiding justice in the New York Appellate Division, 1st Department. Arent Fox (Washington): Paul M. Rudolf joins the health care and food and drug groups as counsel to the firm’s Washington office. He practiced medicine for more than 15 years before joining the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services and Center for Medicare Management, and later the Food and Drug Administration. After leaving government, Rudolf worked as a consultant for Avalere Health LLC. Laterals Bingham McCutchen: Four attorneys come on board as partners-in New York, Christine L. White; and in Costa Mesa, Calif., Todd Gordinier, Jason Anderson and Edward Kim. White was previously a partner in the antitrust group of McDermott, Will & Emery. Williamson joins the real estate practice group as partner in the firm’s Washington office. He was most recently a partner in the Washington office of Chicago’s Winston & Strawn. Flaster/Greenberg (Cherry Hill, N.J.): Abbe F. Fletman joins the commercial litigation and intellectual property practice groups in the firm’s Philadelphia office. Beatus comes on board as partner, first in the San Jose, Calif., office, then in the New York office.
