New Arrivals Dykema Gossett (Detroit): The Chicago office has added Deirdre Kenny Manna as a government relations professional. Prior to her arrival, she was acting director of the Illinois Division of Insurance, and she has also served as assistant vice president of the American Insurance Association during her 17-year career. Epstein Becker & Green (New York): The firm’s national litigation practice has added Hans U. Stucki, who will practice in Chicago. The commercial litigator represents multinational companies, particularly in the areas of banking and finance, as well as in electronics and aviation-related industries. Fowler White Burnett: The Florida-based firm has added a pair of shareholders. Hector Ralph Rivera, a civil litigator focusing on complex commercial and personal injury cases, has joined the Miami office. Gary Stephen Genovese has signed on with the Fort Lauderdale office. His background is in medical malpractice, personal injury and insurance defense. Attorney Barry N. Greenberg, with 30 years’ legal experience in federal and state litigation, also joins in Miami. Sands Anderson Marks & Miller (Richmond, Va.): Prince William County Attorney Sharon E. Pandak has joined the firm’s local government practice. Her areas of expertise include land use, economic development and public safety. Schnader Harrison Segal & Lewis (Philadelphia): James J. Eisenhower, well versed in federal, state and local levels of government, is the new chairman of the firm’s government and regulatory affairs practice. Eisenhower, the Democratic candidate for attorney general of Pennsylvania in the 2000 and 2004 elections, has served with President William J. Clinton, Governor Edward G. Rendell, D-Pa. and Philadelphia Mayor John Street. Sheppard, Mullin, Richter & Hampton (Los Angeles): The business trial practice group in the firm’s principal office has added new partner David Huebner, the former chairman of Coudert Brothers. Internal dispute resolution, cross-border compliance and matters of corporate governance are his areas of specialization. Paul M. Kaplan, former head of Epstein Becker & Green’s financial practice, has joined the firm’s New York office as a partner in the antitrust practice group. He focuses on transactional, regulatory, antitrust and international matters. Steptoe & Johnson (Washington): Seven attorneys from Phoenix-based Beshears Wallwork Bellamy are joining the firm. Nicholas J. Wallwork and Fredric D. Bellamy, principals of the civil litigation boutique, are accompanied in the move by colleagues Mark Freeze, Bridget Bade, Leslie Cooper, Mindy Brinker and Lynn Broderick. New Counsel Strasburger & Price (Dallas): Paul B. Sander has arrived as of counsel in the real estate practice group based in Frisco, Texas’ Collin County office. His work involves real estate, electronics, equipment leasing, security protection and marketing industries. In-House Integro Ltd. (New York): William P. Constantini has joined the insurance brokerage firm as general counsel, leaving a comparable position with The Great Atlantic & Pacific Tea Co. He will also oversee corporate compliance, manage outside counsel and assume corporate secretary functions. Lipid Sciences Inc. (Pleasanton, Calif.): The biotechnology company, engaged in the treatment of medical conditions in which fat components play a key role, has chosen Bryan Cave partner Frank M. Placenti as lead director and chairman of the firm’s executive committee. Based in Phoenix, Placenti leads Bryan Cave’s transactions and corporate governance client service group. Named Cathy Fleming, chairwoman of the corporate integrity/white-collar group in Edwards & Angell’s New York and New Jersey offices, has been elected president-elect of the National Association of Women Lawyers. The group, with 2,000 members, is the first nationwide association of women attorneys. Robert L. Meyers III, of counsel to Jones Day’s Dallas office, has been named to the International Who’s Who Legal list. As a partner from 1981 to 2003, he chaired the real estate and construction practice, and also chaired the construction practice team. Meyers joins colleagues Ashley Howlett, Sundaresh Menon, Susanna Fodor and Robert W. Turner on the list. Stephen M. Olson, a Pittsburgh-based partner at Kirkpatrick & Lockhart Nicholson Graham, has been inducted as a fellow of the College of Labor and Employment Lawyers, one of 790 members in 42 states, the District of Columbia, Puerto Rico and Canada. Michael S. Pasano, a Miami-based shareholder at Washington-headquartered Zuckerman Spaeder, has been installed as chair of the 9,000-member American Bar Association’s Criminal Justice Section. Pasano’s practice revolves around the defense of white-collar matters in complex litigation. Gibson Vance of Montgomery, Ala.’s Beasley, Allen, Crow, Methvin, Portis & Miles and president of the Montgomery Bar Association, was elected parliamentarian of the Association of Trial Lawyers of America.
