ARNOLD & PORTER Arnold & Porter has elected four new partners in its D.C. office. Justin Antonipillai, 32, is a member of the litigation group. He is a graduate of American University Washington College of Law. Brian Israel, 37, is a member of the environmental and litigation groups. He is a graduate of New York University School of Law. Gregory Levine, 36, is a member of the food, drug, and medical devices group. He is a graduate of Georgetown University Law Center. Robert McCarter III, 32, is a member of the litigation group. He is a graduate of Harvard Law School. BUCHANAN INGERSOLL John Korns, 59, has been elected partner in the D.C. office of Buchanan Ingersoll. Korns is a member of the litigation group. He graduated from Harvard Law School. CADWALADER, WICKERSHAM & TAFT Cadwalader, Wickersham & Taft has added a partner and three special counsel to its business fraud and complex litigation group. Peter Clark joins as a partner. Most recently, he was the principal deputy chief of the Fraud Section of the Department of Justice’s Criminal Division. Clark, 66, received his J.D. from the University of Pennsylvania Law School. H. Lowell Brown, 59, joins as a special counsel. Previously, he was assistant general counsel at the Northrup Grumman Corp. He received his J.D. from Antioch School of Law. Philip Urofsky, 42, joins as a special counsel from the Justice Department, where he was assistant chief of the Criminal Division. He earned his law degree from the University of Virginia School of Law. Stephanie Meltzer, 36, rejoins Cadwalader as a special counsel. She left the firm to serve as an assistant U.S. attorney for the District of Columbia. She graduated from Tulane University Law School. COVINGTON & BURLING Roderick McKelvie, 58, has joined Covington & Burling as a partner focusing on patent and intellectual property matters. A former U.S. district judge, McKelvie was most recently a partner at Fish & Neave. He received his J.D. from the University of Pennsylvania Law School. HARRIS, WILTSHIRE & GRANNIS Patrick O’Donnell was elected partner at Harris, Wiltshire & Grannis. O’Donnell, 37, had been an associate with the firm specializing in white collar matters and commercial litigation. He received his degree from Georgetown University Law Center. McKEE NELSON McKee Nelson announces the addition of two partners who will establish a white collar/investigations and enforcement group. Michael Levy, 41, was a partner at Swidler Berlin. He received his J.D. from Harvard Law School. Michael Spafford, 46, was also a partner at Swidler Berlin. He received his J.D. from Duke University Law School. PATTON BOGGS Patton Boggs has added two partners in the public policy and regulatory practice. Nicholas Allard, 52, was chair of the government relations practice at Latham & Watkins. He received his law degree from Yale Law School. Roy Lessy Jr., 60, joined Patton Boggs from Akin Gump Strauss Hauer & Feld, where he was a partner. He received his J.D. from George Washington University Law School. STEIN, McEWEN & BUI The eight-person intellectual property boutique of Stein, McEwen & Bui opened its doors in December 2004 with three partners and five associates. Michael Stein, a partner, most recently was a partner at Staas & Halsey. Stein, 39, received his J.D. from American University Washington College of Law. James McEwen, also a partner, was also previously a partner at Staas & Halsey. McEwen, 34, received his J.D. from George Washington University Law School. Hung Bui, 38, also joins as a partner. Most recently, he was a partner at Antonelli, Terry, Stout & Kraus. Bui received his J.D from American University Washington College of Law. All five associates joined the firm from Staas & Halsey. They are: John Stowe, 65, who received his law degree from Indiana University School of Law, Indianapolis. Thomas Jones, 35, who graduated from Lewis & Clark Law School. Howard Levy, 29, who graduated from Temple University James E. Beasley School of Law. Steven Crabb, 35, who graduated from the University of Maryland School of Law.
