SAN JOSE — A senior associate at Wilson Sonsini Goodrich & Rosati is on extended leave from the firm after his recent arrest on sex charges. Palo Alto Police Sgt. Mike Denson said Jason Borrevik, 32, was arrested on suspicion of sexual penetration and oral copulation with a minor. Borrevik is tentatively scheduled for arraignment on Monday in Santa Clara County Superior Court. Assistant District Attorney Karyn Sinunu said Tuesday that prosecutors are still investigating. News reports have said a search warrant was executed at Borrevik’s Palo Alto office last week, but Sinunu said she hasn’t seen the police reports and that no formal charges have been filed. Sinunu offered no other details on the investigation, and Palo Alto police said late Tuesday that the case files will likely be sealed. Borrevik didn’t return calls to his office or home Tuesday. A voice message at his office said he was on leave and wouldn’t return messages. Borrevik is an expert on executive compensation and employee benefits law, according to the firm’s Web site. He is a 1997 graduate of Boalt Hall School of Law and earned an economics degree from the University of Oregon. According to his bio, Borrevik “focuses on the design and implementation of equity compensation and bonus plans, executive employment agreements and the corresponding tax, accounting and securities law issues.” Donna Petkanics, Wilson’s managing director of operations, did not accept calls regarding the investigation. She referred questions to firm spokeswoman Courtney Dorman, who was out of the office.
