ASSOCIATION OF CORPORATE COUNSEL Ronald Peppe II has joined the Association of Corporate Counsel as vice president, law and communications. Most recently he was general counsel for the Canam Steel Corp. Peppe, 42, graduated from the University of Maryland School of Law. DICKSTEIN SHAPIRO Dickstein Shapiro Morin & Oshinsky announces the addition of two new partners. Tammy McCutchen, former administrator of the Wage and Hour Division of the Department of Commerce, has joined Dickstein’s employment practice. McCutchen, 38, will focus on employment matters related to wage and hour issues, including the Fair Labor Standards Act and the Family and Medical Leave Act. She earned her J.D. from Northwestern University School of Law. Leslie Thornton, 46, has joined the firm in the litigation and dispute resolution practice group. Most recently she was a partner at Patton Boggs. Thornton received her J.D. from Georgetown University Law Center. KIRKPATRICK & LOCKHART Eric Broyles, 35, has joined Kirkpatrick & Lockhart as of counsel in the corporate and communications practice groups. Most recently Broyles was associate group counsel for BearingPoint Inc. He is a graduate of the University of Virginia School of Law. MANNING LAW FIRM Chris Manning, 32, has left the D.C. office of Bryan Cave to open his own firm. Manning handles all types of litigation cases. He graduated from Washington & Lee University School of Law. NIXON PEABODY Susan Freedman, 42, has joined Nixon Peabody as counsel in the technology and intellectual property group. Most recently, Freedman was a partner at Finnegan, Henderson, Farabow, Garrett & Dunner. She received her J.D. from George Washington University Law School. PEPPER HAMILTON George Lehner, 55, rejoins Pepper Hamilton as a partner in the health effects litigation practice group. He left the firm in 2002 to join the State Department, where he was deputy assistant legal adviser for international claims and investment disputes. He received his J.D. from the University of Michigan Law School. SHULMAN, ROGERS Andre Brady, 35, has joined Rockville, Md.’s Shulman, Rogers, Gandal, Pordy & Ecker as an associate in the commercial litigation department. Most recently he was an associate with Paul A. Brady & Associates. He graduated from Loyola University Chicago School of Law. STEPTOE & JOHNSON Andrew Irwin, 32, has joined Steptoe & Johnson as special counsel. He will focus on government contracts, corporate compliance, and export controls. Irwin was most recently in-house counsel with Bechtel National Inc. He received his J.D. from George Washington University Law School. TROUTMAN SANDERS M. Chadwick Stackhouse has joined Troutman Sanders as an associate in the Tysons Corner, Va., office. Most recently he was an associate with Morgan, Lewis & Bockius. Stackhouse, 29, graduated from Catholic University of America Columbus School of Law. ZUCKERMAN SPAEDER James Sottile, 43, has joined Zuckerman Spaeder as a partner focusing on asbestos insurance coverage litigation. Most recently he was a partner with Baach Robinson & Lewis.
