CROWELL & MORING Robert Glenn, 60, former president of the International Minerals Association of North America and the National Industrial Sand Association, has joined Crowell & Moring as a consultant. Glenn will work as a consulting scientist in the litigation group. GOULSTON & STORRS Petrina Markowitz, 47, has joined Goulston & Storrs’ D.C. office as a director. Most recently she was a partner at Piper Rudnick specializing in commercial real estate transactions. She graduated from Georgetown University Law Center. HARMON, CURRAN Harmon, Curran, Spielberg & Eisenberg has added two new members to the firm. John Pomeranz, 40, has joined the firm as counsel. Most recently he was the nonprofit advocacy director at the Alliance for Justice. He received his J.D. from the University of Southern California Law Center. Jennifer Gillon, 29, has joined the firm as an associate. She most recently served as assistant corporation counsel for the American Cancer Society. She graduated from Emory University School of Law. HUNTON & WILLIAMS Robert Huey has joined Hunton & Williams as a partner in the international trade and customs law practice. Huey, 61, came from Arent Fox, where he was a partner. His practice will focus on helping clients gain access to markets and contend with emerging global regulatory matters in Asia, Europe, and Latin America. He received an L.L.B. from the University of Virginia School of Law. KATTEN MUCHIN ZAVIS ROSENMAN Joseph Myers has joined the firm as counsel. Myers, 43, comes from the National Security Council, where he was director of international financial affairs in the Office of Combating Terrorism. He received his J.D. from Vanderbilt University Law School. SUTHERLAND ASBILL & BRENNAN Sutherland Asbill & Brennan has named two new partners and a new counsel. Paul Turner, 36, was named partner and represents energy trading and marketing companies in litigation, regulatory, and commercial matters. He graduated from the University of Virginia School of Law. Louis Wiener has been elected partner in the litigation group. Wiener, 41, focuses on commercial litigation, complex construction, environmental law, and eminent domain/inverse condemnation litigation. He graduated from American University Washington College of Law. David Kritz, 37, has been named counsel in the tax group, representing clients on employee benefit matters. He graduated from the University of Buffalo Law School, State University of New York. U.S. ATTORNEY’S OFFICE The U.S. Attorney’s Office for the District of Columbia has added three new assistant U.S. attorneys. Alessio Evangelista joined the Misdemeanor Section. Most recently he was an associate with Beveridge & Diamond. Evangelista, 33, graduated from Syracuse University College of Law. Vasu Muthyala, 28, also joined the Misdemeanor Section. Before joining the U.S. Attorney’s Office, he was a staff attorney with the Securities and Exchange Commission Division of Enforcement. He graduated from Pepperdine University School of Law. Thomas Tamm, 52, joined the Grand Jury Intake Section. He was most recently with the Department of Justice in the Office of Intelligence Policy and Review.
