Alexander “Tom” Galloway II, senior counsel in the public finance department of Orrick, Herrington & Sutcliffe, died Friday. He was 62. Mr. Galloway earned his bachelor’s degree from Wesleyan University in 1964 and his law degree from Albany Law School of Union University in 1967. He then became affiliated with the law firm of Sykes, Galloway & Dikerman in Manhattan. Mr. Galloway became a partner of the firm in 1972. In 1976, the firm merged with Willkie Farr & Gallagher. There he became partner specializing in municipal securities law. In 2000, Mr. Galloway became senior counsel at Orrick, Herrington & Sutcliffe in the firm’s public finance department. He was a former member of the Board of Governors of the Lawyer’s Club and a former member of the Committee for Continuing Legal Education of the New York State Bar Association. Mr. Galloway is survived by his wife, Rebecca; his children, Alexander T. Galloway III, Gordon S.M. Galloway, Heather G. Hunts and Meghan G. Richards. A memorial service will be held Thursday at 1:30 p.m. at St. Peter’s Episcopal Church, 215 Boulevard, Mountain Lakes, N.J.
