San Francisco Nixon Peabodyhas added former Bingham McCutchen attorney Matthew Fisheras a partner in the firm’s business group. Fisher’s practice focuses on corporate transactional matters and general corporate and securities law matters. He received his J.D. from Georgetown University Law Center. Neil Korenhas been elevated to partner at Shartsis, Friese & Ginsburgas part of the firm’s investment funds and advisors group. Koren, who represents hedge fund managers and other investment advisers, graduated from the Benjamin N. Cardozo School of Law in 1996. Morgan, Lewis & Bockiushas hired Steven Danielsas a partner in its litigation practice group. A former Brobeck, Phleger & Harrison litigator, Daniels has extensive experience working on complex patent and trade secret cases. He graduated from the University of North Carolina School of Law in 1995. Julie Rumbergerhas joined Baker & McKenzieas a partner in its global equity services practice group. Rumberger joins the firm from PricewaterhouseCoopers, where she was a director in the equity planning practice. She received her LL.B. from the University of Montreal. Paul Mellohas joined Hanson, Bridgett, Marcus, Vlahos & Rudyas an of counsel in the firm’s labor and employment section. Previously Mello was with Pillsbury Winthrop’s Silicon Valley office. Mello’s practice focuses on representing employers and management in wrongful termination, sexual harassment and employment discrimination litigation. He received his law degree from UC Davis’ King Hall School of Law in 1995. Drinker Biddle & Reathhas elected four new partners, including one in the San Francisco office, Steven Selna. Selna, a member of the firm’s products liability group, concentrates on representing pharmaceutical and medical device concerns in complex litigation. He is a 1987 graduate of McGeorge School of Law. City Attorney Dennis Herrerahas joined the Bar Association of San Francisco’s 2004 board of directors. In his new capacity, Herrera will work closely with the 23-member board in championing equal access to justice and other BASF goals. South Bay Lior Nuchihas joined Pillsbury Winthropas a partner in its Palo Alto office. Nuchi previously was a senior partner in Bingham McCutchen’s corporate group. His practice focuses on technology and international transactions. Nuchi is a 1987 graduate of New York University School of Law. Southern California Greenberg Traurighas added intellectual property attorney Terence Clarkto its Los Angeles office as a partner. Clark formerly served as coordinator of Squire, Sanders & Dempsey’s intellectual property practice. He is widely recognized as an authority on First Amendment rights, representing major broadcasters in a variety of high-profile cases. Clark is a graduate of Case Western Reserve Law School. Carole Cohen, formerly of Hersh, Mannis & Bogen, has joined Cotkin, Collins & Ginsburgas a member in its Los Angeles office. Cohen, a certified family law specialist, has more than 20 years of experience as a family law attorney. She received her J.D. from Southwestern University School of Law. International Paul, Hastings, Janofsky & Walkerhas hired Silicon Valley IP lawyer Tony Chento lead the firm’s China intellectual property practice group. Chen, who will be based in Shanghai, joined the firm as of counsel in January. He received his J.D. from Harvard Law School in 1993.
