San Francisco Judy Davidoff, a partner in the real estate group at Steefel, Levitt & Weiss, has been elected president of Commercial Real Estate Women. CREW-San Francisco is a nonprofit group established to promote and sponsor educational and professional activities for its members in the field of commercial real estate. Davidoff received her J.D. from Boston College in 1977. Thomas Packer, a partner at Gordon & Rees, has been appointed to the board of directors of DRI-The Voice of the Defense Bar, a national organization of more than 21,000 defense trial lawyers and corporate counsel. South Bay Intellectual property firm Finnegan, Henderson, Farabow, Garrett & Dunner has elevated six of its lawyers to partnership, including Erik Puknys in the Palo Alto office. His practice concentrates on patent and trade secret litigation. Prior to joining the firm Puknys was a patent examiner at the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office. He received his J.D. from George Mason University School of Law in 1997. Sandra Marin, former vice president and general counsel of Autodesk, has joined Judicial Resolution Corp.’s specialist mediator panel serving the Bay Area. Marin has been a full-time mediator since 1995, pioneering the mediation of employment disputes at leading Silicon Valley tech companies. East Bay Mara Rosales has joined Meyers Nave as of counsel in the Oakland office. She will chair the firm’s airport practice group. Rosales most recently served as deputy airport director, regulatory and legislative affairs, for the S.F. International Airport. She received her law degree from Hastings College of the Law in 1982. Archer Norris partner W. Eric Blumhardt has been installed as president of the Association of Defense Counsel of Northern California and Nevada for 2004. Blumhardt’s 20-year insurance coverage and bad faith litigation practice encompasses all areas of first- and third-party insurance. Southern California Jackson DeMarco & Peckenpaugh has elevated Sheri Marvin to partner and added two associates. Marvin’s practice is concentrated in the areas of common interest development and the Subdivision Map Act. She graduated from Pepperdine University School of Law. Donald Leonhardt joins the litigation group in the Irvine office. He received his J.D. from Hastings College of the Law. Bradley Bjelke also is joining the litigation group in the Westlake Village office. He is a graduate of Boston College Law School. Charles Crouch III, recently named managing partner of the Los Angeles office of Perkins Coie, has been selected chairman of the executive committee of the State Bar business law section for 2004.
