O’MELVENY PROMOTES 12 TO ITS PARTNERSHIP O’Melveny & Myers has announced its new partner class, with three attorneys in its San Francisco office getting the nod. The Los Angeles-based firm will elevate 12 attorneys to partner on Feb. 1. Last year the firm elevated 13 attorneys to partner, none in the San Francisco office. The latest partner class is heavily laced with litigators and California practitioners. Eight of the new partners are based in one of O’Melveny’s California offices. And eight of the partners are in the firm’s litigation department, or focus on intellectual property litigation. The new San Francisco partners are David Eberhart, Peter Obstler and K. Peter Ritter. Eberhart is a 1992 University of Michigan Law School graduate and works in O’Melveny’s intellectual property and technology department. Obstler is a member of the firm’s litigation department. He earned his J.D. from Yale University Law School in 1991 and clerked for Judge Alan Nevas of the U.S. District Court for the District of Connecticut and Judge Thomas Meskill of the Second Circuit U.S. Court of Appeals. Ritter works in O’Melveny’s tax department. He is a 1992 graduate of Southwestern University School of Law and has an LL.M. degree in taxation from New York University School of Law.
