U.S. ATTORNEY’S OFFICE The U.S. Attorney’s Office has added four new assistant U.S. attorneys to its ranks. Renata Kendrick Cooper, 38, has joined the sex offense and domestic violence unit in the office’s misdemeanor section. Cooper was an associate at Swidler Berlin Shereff Friedman and graduated from Emory University School of Law. Timothy Kelly, 34, has joined the misdemeanor section. Kelly was an associate at Arnold & Porter and received his law degree from Georgetown University Law Center. Jeffrey Pearlman, 32, has joined the misdemeanor section. Pearlman was an associate at Ropes & Gray and holds a law degree from George Washington University Law School. Amanda Williams, 28, has also joined the misdemeanor section. Williams was a clerk for Judge Monti L. Belot in the U.S. District Court for the District of Kansas. She graduated from the University of Kansas School of Law. WILLKIE FARR & GALLAGHER Willkie Farr & Gallagher has added four new partners in the District. E. Donald Elliott, 55, has joined the firm’s environmental law department. Elliott was general counsel to the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency. He is a graduate of Yale Law School. James Casserly, 52, has joined the telecommunications department. Casserly was the senior legal adviser to Federal Communications Commissioner Susan Ness. He graduated from Columbia Law School. Robert Meyer, 43, has joined the D.C.-based, firmwide compliance and enforcement practice and will represent corporations, organizations, and individuals in civil and criminal lawsuits and in investigations involving a variety of compliance and white collar matters. Meyer was a partner at Foley & Lardner and holds a law degree from the University of Virginia School of Law. Martin Weinstein, 44, will chair the firmwide compliance and enforcement practice and will represent corporations, organizations, and individuals in civil and criminal lawsuits and investigations.
