Gibson, Dunn & Crutcher has promoted eight attorneys to its partnership, the firm announced Monday. Two of the new partners are in the firm’s San Francisco office, while three are in New York, two are in its Los Angeles headquarters and one is in Denver. The new partner class is the same size as last year’s, and one shy of the 2002 class. “Our diverse group of new partners has played and will continue to play an important role in helping us to continue to grow our market share and enhance our reputation as a provider of the absolute highest quality of legal services across a number of important practice areas,” said Managing Partner Kenneth Doran in a statement. Half of this year’s partner class is litigators, and two of the new partners practice in the firm’s antitrust and trade regulation group. The two new San Francisco partners are Stewart McDowell and Michael Sitzman. McDowell is a University of Virginia School of Law graduate and a member of the firm’s corporate transactions group. Sitzman earned his J.D. at the University of the Pacific’s McGeorge School of Law and practices in the firm’s intellectual property litigation group.
