The wife of a Contra Costa County judge has won a $136,000 jury award after she sued her former boss for sex discrimination and slander. Ryan Allen, who is married to Pittsburg Judge John Allen, alleged that she was forced out of her bartending job in September 2000. According to Allen's complaint, her boss said disparaging things about her and then replaced her because he's biased against female employees and also because Allen refused to serve three drunken customers.
