CONTRACT heinz holba, his New York-based modeling agency and his Los Angeles-based agency have sued International Model Management, an Ontario, Canada-based modeling agency, and International’s principal, Michele Brown-Miller, for tortious interference and breach of contract. The plaintiffs claim that Jessica Stam, who was represented by the defendants, won a modeling contest that was sponsored by the plaintiffs. Under the terms of the entry agreement, the plaintiffs allege, they received the right to represent Stam for two years. The plaintiffs claim that Brown-Miller worked to induce Stam to leave the plaintiffs’ agency for another agency, and that, as a result, they “were unable to make Stam available for their clients, while Miller made her available to work through another agency.” NYC Management Group Inc. v. Brown-Miller, No. 03 CV 2617 (S.D.N.Y. April 15). FOR PLAINTIFFS: Robert J. Hantman, Hantman & Associates, New York
