Longtime State Bar critic Stephen Barnett took his complaints to a new level of rancor last week by filing an official complaint with the State Bar’s chief prosecutor, accusing State Bar Executive Director Judy Johnson of unethical conduct.

In the complaint filed with Chief Trial Counsel Mike Nisperos Jr. on Wednesday, Barnett, a professor at Boalt Hall School of Law, accuses Johnson of violating a February settlement agreement that allowed candidates for the Bar’s Board of Governors to include information about their ideas and platforms.
