Last week, the firm closed a deal that will expand its office space by between 20 percent and 40 percent in 2003. Farella extended its lease for 10 years in downtown San Francisco’s Russ Building, where it currently occupies 10 floors. With the expansion, the firm could add between four and five floors.

“This will be to accommodate our growth needs over the next several years,” said William Schlinkert, the chairman of Farella’s executive committee. Farella currently has 120 lawyers in its San Francisco office and the new space will allow it to house 160 attorneys.
