This year’s partner class, which the firm’s 94 partners voted on over the weekend, is half the size of last year’s. But the firm’s management said this was due more to “coincidence” than to anything else.
“McCutchen really tries to exercise judgment in individual cases rather than trying to set any quota,” said Dale Barnes, managing partner of the San Francisco office.
