Plaintiffs firms Milberg Weiss Bershad Hynes & Lerach and Cotchett Pitre & Simon are weighing in with big bucks for hopeful Dennis Herrera, while corporate firms including Pillsbury Winthrop and Crosby, Heafey, Roach & May are throwing their support to James Lazarus.

In the most recent reporting period — from Sept. 23 to Oct. 20 — 22 Milberg partners and associates, plus the spouse of at least one partner, contributed a total of $4,900 to Herrera’s campaign. Four Cotchett associates contributed $850, to go along with the $3,500 from name partners Joseph Cotchett, Frank Pitre, Bruce Simon and four other Cotchett lawyers during an earlier reporting period.
