On Friday, the State Bar Board of Governors authorized a $45 dues increase to $390 a year, despite last-minute attempts by a few members to slightly reduce the final number.
“While this is an increase in the fee,” State Bar Executive Director Judy Johnson told board members, “it is still $5 less than [the year] 2000 and 83 bucks less than what we charged members throughout most of the ’90s.”
