Reversing a decline in membership and expanding social justice efforts of the New York County Lawyers Association are the two top goals for Michael McNamara as he takes the helm of the 109-year-old organization.

McNamara, a corporate partner at Seward & Kissel and co-head of its litigation department, said NYCLA needs to takes steps to remain relevant—especially to a new generation of lawyers inclined to turn to the internet for CLE courses and other services traditionally provided by the association.
