Herbert Smith Freehills Singapore associate firm Prolegis has hired a U.S. law corporate partner from Latham & Watkins.
Eugene Lee will relocate from Hong Kong and start at the Singaporean firm on June 1. Lee gives U.S. securities law advice to Chinese issuers on their Hong Kong listings and related transactions. Last year, he advised Chinese brokerage house Everbright Securities Co. Ltd. on a $1 billion initial public offering on the Hong Kong Stock Exchange. In 2015, he also advised on the listings of Fuyao Glass Industry Group Co. Ltd., GF Securities Co. Ltd. and Hong Kong broadband provider HKBN Ltd.
