The expanded use of eminent domain, the awarding of punitive damages for workplace discrimination and the use of confidential medical records in a criminal case are among key issues that will be considered by the Connecticut Supreme Court when it gavels in a new term on Tuesday.

The court is slated to hear nearly 20 cases over the next two weeks including two arguments that will be heard at Quinnipiac University School of Law as part of the court’s “On Circuit” program.
