A Delaware federal judge who ruled that Enghouse Interactive violated its duty to indemnify Seagate Technology Holdings Inc. has ordered the customer communications provider to pay more than $550,000 to cover the cost of defending a two-year patent infringement action.

Enghouse, U.S. District Judge Richard G. Andrews of the District of Delaware said on Sept. 30, will also have to foot the bill for Seagate’s breach of contract suit to enforce its indemnification obligations. However, the exact amount owed for the enforcement action was not immediately publicly available, and an attorney for Seagate declined to specify the exact liability on Monday.
