Paul, Weiss, Rifkind, Wharton & Garrison and Simpson Thacher & Bartlett have the lead roles on Japanese tire maker Yokohama Rubber Co.’s $1.2 billion acquisition of Alliance Tire Group from buyout firm Kohlberg Kravis Roberts & Co.

In a statement, Tokyo-based Yokohama Rubber said Alliance’s agricultural, industrial, construction and forestry machinery tire business would be complementary to its current passenger-car tire business. Netherlands-based Alliance has factories in India and Israel and recorded annual global sales of $529 million in 2015.
