Jones Day is opening a new office in Brisbane, Australia and has hired a new partner there.
John Cooper, the firm’s Perth office head, is relocating the lead the four-lawyer Brisbane office, which will focus on mergers and acquisitions, natural resources, construction, transport, and agriculture projects and related disputes. Cooper, a project disputes specialist, joined the firm in 2013 after spending 26 years at Australian firm Allens.
