Fenwick & West has hired a corporate partner in Shanghai.
Karen Yan joins from Latham & Watkins, where she was a partner specializing in capital markets deals and mergers and acquisitions in the technology and media sectors. In May, she represented Alibaba Group Holding Ltd.-backed Chinese ecommerce service provider Baozun Inc. on a $110 million initial public offering on the Nasdaq. Last year, she advised Shanghai-based conglomerate Fosun Group on a $200 million investment in U.S. production house Studio 8.
