Confidence among law firm managing partners in the first quarter dropped to the levels of last year’s third quarter thanks to lower expectations for economic and legal industry growth, according to Citi Private Bank Law Group’s Managing Partner Survey, released Tuesday.

At the same time, managing partners continued to project revenue growth and strong demand for their own firm’s legal services, and remained bullish on associate hiring, the report found.
