Some may say that recognizing—at a single luncheon—the best volunteer work and programs coming out of Atlanta’s three largest pro bono legal service organizations is pure genius. This year, so is the keynote speaker at the Atlanta Bar Association’s seventh annual Celebrating Service program.

Jonathan Rapping, president and founder of Gideon’s Promise, will deliver the keynote address at this year’s luncheon, Oct. 17 at the Piedmont Driving Club. Last month, Rapping was awarded $625,000 from the MacArthur Foundation—a so-called “genius grant.”
