A Miami federal jury has awarded $2.45 million to a housekeeper who was paralyzed when her Toyota 4Runner flipped.

A driver turned in front of the 4Runner driven by Ritzy Danely Romero, 35, who tried to switch lanes to avoid a collision in Miami on June 9, 2009. Both sides agreed the sport utility vehicle flipped after a low-speed collision, but they disagreed on whether it turned 1½ or 2½ times.
