A gang member convicted of concocting an elaborate murder-for-hire plot against New Jersey’s top federal judge has been sentenced to life in prison.
Derrick “Murder” Menter, 38, drew the sentence on Dec. 9 for masterminding the plan to kill Chief District Judge Garrett Brown Jr., hashed out at the Monmouth County Correctional Institution in Freehold, where Menter was awaiting sentencing for failure to register as a sex offender.
