Hob Knob, a Plantation-based software maker suing Facebook’s primary game provider, Zynga, for allegedly stealing its proprietary application, is itself a defendant in a similar lawsuit.

In February, North Falmouth, Massachusetts-based 1stWorks sued Hob Knob in Broward Circuit Court for allegedly stealing social networking technology it developed. The company has been in the real-time communications industry for 11 years, and 1stWorks officers tried to collaborate with Fort Lauderdale entrepreneur Gary H. Elzweig last year.
