SAN FRANCISCO — President Obama on Wednesday moved to fill his fifth vacancy on the Ninth Circuit U.S. Court of Appeals, nominating Arizona Justice Andrew Hurwitz.
If confirmed, Hurwitz would replace Judge Mary Schroeder, the Phoenix-based former chief judge who will take senior status Jan. 1.
