Five lawyers, including Cherry Hill solo Donald Manno — who has represented reputed Lucchese crime family member Nicodemo Scarfo — were among 13 people charged Tuesday with aiding a mob takeover of a publicly traded firm.

A federal indictment unsealed in Newark alleges that FirstPlus Financial Group Inc. of Irving, Texas, was seized and fleeced of millions of dollars through a series of fraudulent consulting agreements and acquisitions involving companies controlled by Scarfo and Salvatore Pelullo, another alleged Lucchese family associate.
