The state Supreme Court is deciding whether New Jersey towns, in seeking to restrict where adult-oriented businesses can operate, can essentially force those businesses to relocate to other states.
In Sayreville v. 35 Club, A-66-10, argued on Monday, the Middlesex County community of Sayreville is attempting to shut down a gentlemen’s lounge by geographically widening the “market area” for such businesses.
