Seven Trinidadian nationals who were convicted for the kidnapping and subsequent death of a U.S. citizen were sentenced Friday in Washington, D.C., federal district court to life in prison.
The U.S. Attorney’s Office said the defendants were convicted in 2009 following a 10-week trial on charges of hostage-taking and conspiracy.
