A matrimonial lawyer and her Hackensack, N.J., firm were hit with a $950,000 malpractice verdict on May 10 for their role in enabling an international child abduction.
The suit, Innes v. Marzano-Lesnevich, L-7739-07, was brought by Roy Innes, whose 4-year-old daughter, Victoria Solenne Innes, was removed from the U.S. to Spain, the mother’s native country, in January 2005 without his knowledge or consent.
