The House Committee on Oversight & Government Reform Tuesday released a witness list for this coming Thursday’s hearing to examine problems with the Securities and Exchange Commission’s management practices. Conspicuously absent from the list of names was former SEC general counsel David Becker.
The list of confirmed witnesses from the SEC included Chairman Mary Schapiro, Director of Human Resources Jeffrey Risinger and former Secretary Jonathan Katz. Also on the list was Helen Chaitman of Becker & Poliakoff, who represents a number of victims of the Bernard Madoff Ponzi scheme.
