Pursuant to the provisions of Article 11.07 of the Texas Code of Criminal Procedure, the clerk of the trial court transmitted to this Court this application for writ of habeas corpus. Ex parte Young, 418 S.W.2d 824, 826 (Tex. Crim. App. 1967). Applicant was convicted of delivery of a controlled substance and sentenced to eleven years’ imprisonment. The Fourteenth Court of Appeals affirmed his conviction. Jordan v. State, No. 14-08-01146-CR (Tex. App.–Houston 2009).

Applicant contends, inter alia, that his trial counsel rendered ineffective assistance by transferring his case to a different court to prevent his hearing on self-representation. He also alleges that he was prevented from taking a five-year plea deal and intimidated into not pursuing his motion for self-representation.
