Reed Smith and Dallas-based Thompson & Knight have called off their merger discussions that were first announced in October 2010.
The firms said in a joint statement that the talks were called off prior to either firm’s partnerships voting on the deal. They said they had performed due diligence “in the latter part of 2010.” Neither firm’s leadership was being made available for comments Thursday.
