The chair of Fried, Frank, Harris, Shriver & Jacobson and its senior operating partner have been ordered to appear for depositions in a discrimination suit brought by a former associate.

Southern District Magistrate Judge Kevin N. Fox has denied the firm’s motion to block the depositions, finding the ex-associate, Julie Kamps, gave timely notices to Valerie Ford Jacob, the firm’s chair, and Justin Spendlove, its senior operating partner. The magistrate judge said the two were obligated to attend their depositions.
